The L?ºderitz Speed Challenge 2009 will be getting underway in less than two week and it's going to be awesome! Throughout the month
of November kiteboarders will be attempting to break world speed sailing records in L?ºderitz, Namibia. Last year three competitors
broke the 50 knot barrier. This year we're trying to break 100kph.
Most of the top riders from last year are back (Alex Caizergues, Catman, Rob Douglas, Sjoukje Bredenkamp), along with a many new
faces.
We will be posting news updates and pictures on our website www.luderitz-speed.com <http://www.luderitz-speed.com>. You can also
join our Facebook group Luderitz Speed Challenge 2009 <http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=25678263212&ref=nf> or

This year it will be kitesurfers competing, the windsurfers did not find the speed strip that suitable in 2008 — but there is a
very promising area in the big bay which will be tested, so windsurfing fans, stay tuned.
Hope to see you online — or there in Luderitz!
