Hi all,
Just hoping to get some local info on Welsh speed strips which might be working this weekend. (for speed or maybe a bit of freestyle if
it's not super windy)
Dinas and Ynyslas look favourites to me, but wondering how windy the latter will be? any funnelling in a NE?
Grateful for any pointers on tides and stuff.
And what about the forecast? Theyr.tv says tomorrow, xc/guru/etc say Sunday?..
steve
Hi Steve
Ynyslas can be epic in a NE, normally about 10-15knots more than forecast. At the right state of tide it can also be super flat and
then change at high tide to super choppy. I think the tides are quite good this weekend with high tide in the morning and by mid
morning to midday it could be really good as the tide drops. Al might be able to confirm this. Sunday looks best at the moment so I
might be there with speed board in tow.

Yep, could be good later today (Sat) and possibly Sunday as well.
There should be some wind about in the estuary but whether or not
'Ivor' will make an appearance is up for debate.
It may be too cloudy for him.
Al.
Oh, and high tide is around 8:15 tonight and 9ish tomorrow.
Al.
cheers guys. Should I have been there today.?
Didn't look windy enough on xc so stayed home. Sounds good though, I'll definitely be over soon.
It was ok this morning, 13m weather till maybe 11:30 then it dropped off and howled down with rain for most of the afternoon. Picked up again 6ish and we were out on 9s and 7s, but it didnt last more than a hour or so then dropped again. Should be howling tomorrow!
