Hi, I'm looking for suggestions on how to impove a 4 board quiver, i'm pretty happy with the sail's I have but I think 17 years is probably long enough to keep my 2 smallest boards, so I am thinking of getting some new(used) boards and am open to suggestions, even if it means I have to aim for 4 replacement boards.

then get one decent wave board that works well with the 5.5m and under .

Yeah, 3 boards sounds like an ideal amount to be, a big blasting board, a large allround wave orientated board and a full on wave board sounds perfect. I used to think that my Mistral Eruption wave board was nice but when I replaced it with the JP Wave 75 I realsied what I had been missing. The shapes of modern wave boards aren't 'that' much different to ones of 10 years ago, but they are quite a bit light and more responsive because of it.... I', sure you'll learn to love the Vitsea replacement just as much!

I must admit I'm a little tempted to get another board at the mo. I currently have a 75 ltr JP Wave and a 90ltr Mistral Heat, but have been tempted by some of the new slalom boards such as the Tabou Manta. I quite fancy a big fast, early planing board for those summer breezes. Trouble is I would then need a bigger sail, mast and boom to go with it!... Not to mention a bigger van!

my pal is selling a 2002 fanatic goya 84ltr at the mo' - it's in excellent condition & they're REALLY good boards,,,, I think it's advertised on the iwindsurf website - his names slim.... I think that would suit.

Al - do you think u could fit another board in that remarkable TARDIS van of yours!? Remember you have to get in there too!

got a Starboard Formula 147 arriving today
got my 100l Naish Quest
and a 83l RRD MPE

just need to consider something slalomy for blasting now.... Tried a JP slalom 114 at the weekend, it's great fun, fly's off this wind, not that I have £1100 <lol>

I'm quite taken with a Tabou Manta at the moment the one around (115ltrs)... Looks pretty fast and fun with 7m(ish) sails.... Again I don't have the £999 for a brand new one... actaull, even if it was £99.99 I don't think I could afford one at the mo!!

This Manta you keep going on about is it the sports/coupe from the 80's with a 1.8litre engine in white with matching alloys, fury dice (as standard) and a wee spoiler at the back....?

only kidding....

ps - it's too fast for you, actually it's too fast for me I nearly s#!t myself on it at the Chasewater demo.
