Not content with snapping my 400cm mast last week and trshing my 5m sail in the process, I managed to rip my 6.3m today... One more run
then I'll change down to my 5.7m I said... And then on theat run.... KABOOM! a panel just blew out of the sail.... Time to change
down.
Oh well, it was a few years old and has seen a fair bit of use. Not sure whether I'll get it repaired or just replace it with a nice
new 6.3m Gun Target.

6.3 Big?
I got 2 sails in my quiver bigger than that
LOL.... Its my biggest sail and doesn't actually get used that much. I've never used aything bigger either, and usually change down to
my 5.7m as soon as possible.... I should have changed down earlier yesterday!

6.3 to 5.7 not much of a gap that AL , must be one of those quivers where "moneys no object "

5.7m Gets used the most, 6.3m was the biggest my board would take. My usual quiver is 4.5m, 5m, 5.7m and 6.3m. I do have a really old
3.4m as well.
The shopping list keeps geting bigger:
400cm mast (should be replaced under warranty)
repair to 5m sail
New 6.3m sail
New boom
75 ltr wave board
90 ltr wave board
and while I'm at it some harness lines a new extension and a new deckplate/UJ.
Should hopefully come in at around £900!!! Thats more than a whole months wages.

If you are wanting to get you 5 meter fixed why not get it fixed along with the 6.3 since the carriage charges would be the same for 2 sails. That would make the repair to the 6.3 more viable and you could then sell it.
Good idea, but I'd already sent the 5m off for repair along with the mast before I ripped the 6.3m.

To continue the earlier theme of "how big is yours...." I've got 3 sails bigger than 6.3m!
I have 2 x 7.4m (don't ask) and a 9.4m.
My most used sail is a Tushy 6.2m Vulcan that's slowly coming to the end of its life.
Al - next time your down in Bristol, it may be worth having a word with Bristol Sails. They usually do a pretty god job & not hugely expensive.

Could be a good idea Martin.... The main cost for me as far as repairs go is always the postage each way, so that could save me a bit
