Right - after all my whinging, i'm gonna try to sail at WSM tomorrow evening. I would love to go out during the day but can't get out of work. I am guessing that Griptool won't make it , but anyone else?
hoping to make it if wind dosent die
Looks like most of the wind has gone through already, but if its breezy later ill be down...
Was going to try Overcombe but never sailed there before, will it be any good in this direction
Overcomb - yes, SW will be fine.
Spencer - looks like you're right, but after a weekend that frustrating, I'm praying like mad!
Still, to be sure I packed a wetsuit, gym kit and badminton kit in the van. I'm sure I can do something after work, as opposed to
watching more surfing on the extreme channel!
The currrent wind stats look good and the forcast is to fill in to about 20Knts late afternoon kick off at 5pm should be a classic
session.
Spencer, if you go take some pics so I see what Ive missed.
Enjoy
Pitched up to Overcombe after work and rigged up just in time for the wind to drop and the last few sailors swim back in. To add
insult to injury it absolutely hammered down as I derigged so I got soaked as well
Then I got lost on the way back and drove 5 more miles
At least I know were Overcombe is for next time it's windy during the week
Just for you Griptool, got Jonho to take a few pics of me as you requested? WSM was fireing today...30knts
And fair play to spencer - how the hell did he hold down that 5.0? I nearly stood on the board once! with the same sail......
Some nice airs as well spencer. I suppose that the van at least was useful as a windbreak!
I must try harder
Cheers Wes, If you had a 4.2 you might have been alright! But ive just bought a 5.0 i hear you say
Guru had 14knts forcast for 7pm,thety should have x that by 3.never know them to be wrong although wsm can do funny things to the
wind

Sound like you all had a good time..... It didn't quite work out for me yesterday at Borth as I managed to be on the water for the only
hour or so that the wind eased off, so although I had some good runs and a few good jumps on my 5m and wave board more wind would have
been nice...
I take it you were too overpowered to go for any more forward attempts Spencer??
Al.
Nice one spencer, I saw some news footage of the conditions at weston on HTV news last nite, no windsurfers tho (muppets)
Keep up the good work
Forwards were niggaling in the back of my mind, but 90% of the sailing was more of the suvival type sailing.specially the further the tide came in as it got mushier...
I'll let you off then Spencer... I didn't go for any yesterday either!
