Unusual........... it's Tuesday and no one posted anything yet for this coming weekend
Currently looks like it might be a decent Southerly.
Anyone likely to be heading to Blackrock or Newborough...............?
Well this and the following weekend you are going to have loads of wind as I'm overseas on business and it's always the bloody same. Have fun.
Got my girl this weekend, so a no show for me
Ive got 4 in on sat and 8 in on sunday for lessons, so its bond to be bloody perfect, doh!
cmon shem...do it on that ccm, i hav'nt got electric start..
i'm not planning on stopping or getting stuck in the mud.(famous last words), so i won't need it.....
Wind not looking that good for the weekend..poss for sunday. Probably be on the Mtb sat at least if anyones up for a pedal...not sure where yet.
porthmadog looks ok for sat..18mph
I still haven't picked up a tide timetable for the year yet. Anyone know what they will be for this weekend at BRS ?
Just deciding if its worth driving over friday night or early saturday morning.
Mark - check easytide - free predictions for 6 days in advance.... http://easytide.ukho.gov.uk
cheers for that spooks.
thats a really useful site.
anyway, for any others interested here are the weekends High tide times....
Sat 23 Feb
HW HW
09:49 22:06
5.2 m 5.0 m
Sun 24 Feb
HW HW
10:20 22:38
5.1 m 4.8 m
So looks doable from 10am onwards which should at least give the sun an hour or 2 to warm up before hitting the surf.
Hey peeps,
I'll be sailing at Borth from tomorrow, through till Sunday..............
Dunk
I'll pop down to BRS. No kiting for me as I've got my little'un but I'll say hello.
Weekend starts tomorrow - so whats the consensus?
Friday looking good Borth and BRS - 15-18 knots SW, so might be joining Dunk in Borth.
Sat still largely SW 14-15 knots in Borth. tailing off in PM, couple of knots more in BRS.
Sun coming round to Southerlies and looking pretty pants - unless you want to travel as far as Rhossy!
Think I might do Borth tomorrow, then either stay there or travel to BRS Fri evening depending on what others are up to??
Well BRS seems a firmer bet for the 'normal' weekenders !
But I cant get there until first thing saturday morning, hence the enquiry about the tide times.
How much longer are we still able to camp on the beach ? Is it 1st March or Easter ? Anyone know ?
i'm up for borth on sat..wind looks better all the time...got some new toys to try in a decent wind i hope
Defo looking worth the trip now. I will be setting off this evening and possibly dropping in on the Dunkmeister for a beer on the way. Kitesurf Fri and Sat, probably hook up with Graham for an MTB trail on Sunday...If the weather stays the same. See you all on the water
Im busy tommorow, but am keen for sat and my clients for lessons just cancelled, sweet! may even come ocer to the dark side for a change
BRS for me for the day on Saturday........
Hopefully there should be others about too.
Well the wind in Derbyshire certainly picked up overnight. Hope you have it at the coast.
Will be over to Borth saturday morning.
Looks good for kiting tommorow now, wheres the general concensus to go then???? Im not going to Brs, so I may head to Borth is dyfi side is empty, hhmmm!
There's a downhill MTB race in Clarach on Sunday if anyone is interested.
Al.
will be up borth in the morning with Col, see youz on the beach
Good session this afternoon, me, Dunk, Jon d Hat and John out. Started at 20 knots, but most of the afternoon it was 12-14 I guess. Mostly SSW despite the forcast - ideal 13m Edge weather!!
Myself and Liam are coming down to Dovey Sat if anyones about ??.
Cheers,
Simon
trap anyone????
Well mid day and the winds usuless, gutted, shame as there was a good turn out of the borth massive. Never mind at least I blagged a pick up load of oak logs on the way home where they were clearing the lines at glandyfi, so alls not wasted!
oh Shem you went too early; 11.45 in came a few squalls and the wind, out on my 11 till about 3.00; admit i would have been easier with
the 13 but was well powered at times.
Col was out on the 14, tony on the 13 and Darren hung on to his 18, whilst Chris and Mike were out on the 11 sonics and whoosh
eventually went out on the 13 and Dunk was going on his 12 i think as we left.
enjoy the wood but remember wood alcohol also sends yo blind!
Doh never mind!
Very little wind in Dovey....work that one out ??.
