Yep been crossing my figures too. Shame Sat has dropped off, but there is time yet.

The wind is forecast to be from the south, high tide is at 11.30 am which is nearly a 5 meter tide, (just about as big as they get), the swell is forecast to be 10.5 feet from the sw , I recon aberdovey should be about kite able about 1.30ish, looks like going to be a bit rough, the good news is there is surposed to be no rain err surposed ow and plenty of the windy stuff.

REECEY - 10-1-2008 at 22:58

Yes plenty of wind but windguru forecasts rain up to 3pm at 4mm/3h.

Saturday looks pants for wind, but good biking weather.....
Anyone up for Coedy, or Cader, or maybe even a trundle up Snowden??
Mind you - stay nearer the coast and one could end the day witha few scoops in the Dovi Inn.....

Jon - sure - why not, we can make it as long or short as you want - there's plenty of routes. Give us a bell or text when you're setting out, meet say 10ish?

Fart Boy - 11-1-2008 at 18:14

Well if nothing changes I will be over Saturday evening. Catch a few jar's in the Dovey and hit the water around 9am Sunday.

With that swell and wind combination it will be hard to stay on the water for long. should be fun.

After all the promise with the forecasts. I managed about 45 minutes of riding but it got to much. And when the gusts started going from 19 to 37 knots that was time to go home.

Good night in the Dovey though so not a total wash out.

Well for all the sarky comments about flat water over the east coast I had a good day out.

Went to skegness instead as it works on a southerly, there were 10-12 kites out.
Got there at 10am and it was 22mph avg gusting 26/28, it was dry and bright with even the sun making an appearance for half an hour.
Picked up late morning 25/26 gusting 30 but still a good day.
Cold water tho !
Packed up just after 1pm and headed for home, but otherwise a worthwhile trip.
