Just got back from Mauritius, totally fab place for kitesurfing, stayed at The Indian Resort in Le Morne which is the place to go to.

You've got a massive waist deep water lagoon if that is your thang (good place for learning nearly got Sandrine up and riding) and then you've got the waves out the back of the reef pass which start small and then get bigger and bigger, I ventured out to about double overhead size and lost my board out there which was pretty stupid - but recovered it quickly before a set dumped on me, one guy dropped his kite, drifted for two hours out to the sharkier bit and had to picked up by helicopter - there was a huge current but the waves were incredible. And one guy rescued three other kiters who dropped kites out back, not a place to stuff up at!

Had some good surfing at Tamarin Bay, amazing wave super fast and hollow -which is where the piccy is from

The RRD testing team were at Le Morne testing all their 2008 kit, which was good to watch. One of them put a kite in a tree - see piccy - which was amusing until I did exactly the same thing the next day shortly after final pic was taken!
Stuck my 9m waroo in a palm tree and had to get a ladder of one the hotel staff to get it down - you can't beat a good adventure!
