Hi
I’m a French kite surfer, I will stay 6 months in Nottingham. So I would like to know where I can find great spot, in order to
practice the week end when the weather will become better.
Cheers.
I know that Nottingham is far away from the sea, but I would like to know between Chapel St Leonard and Brancaster which is the best
spot?
And if are there some kiter in Nottingham who do the road?
Hey Tom, Brancaster is a good Kitebeachand works well from westerly, through northerly to easterly, not good at high tide. About an
hour and a half after high tide, the lagoons start to form and you can kite out to the shipwreck. there are usually a lot of other
Kitesurfers there in the right conditions but if it is southwesterly, everyone usually goes to Old Hunstanton. Both beaches have
parking, toilets and apart from winter, there is food and drinks available.
Generaly speaking, If there are other kites up, you'll be ok at that spot but chat with the locals to find out what the lowdown is.
At Brancaster, there are rules set out on a signpost on the sliproad to the beach. These were negociated to prevent any bans being
enforced and are in place to protect the public interest, you must walk well past the golf club befor setting up.
At Old Hunstanton, there are mussel beds that could damage your gear at low tide.. ok if you don't ditch your kite.
Can't comment on other beaches on that coast but hope this is of some help
Thanks for that
hiya

i live 5 mins from j28
where in nott's are you ?
Hi Loxley
I don't see where you are, because I don't really know yet Nottingham.
But I live at 5 mins from victoria shopping centre.
So I'm in the nottt's city centre.
And you, how far from the city centre are you?
well i am about 25 minutes from the city centre.
on a good day !
an hour if the traffic lights are wrong.
Let me know when you go to do some kite, it could be cheaper to do the road together, if I’m on the way.
For the moment I don’t have car, but I think about buy one.
I have with me all my gear, for light or strong condition, and you???
