Mark told me this weekend that black rock will be open all year round for kitsurfing providing we launch down towards the rock end between the bouys allocated for jet skis etc.
Thats good news geez, We'll have to get a trip organised for d massif/pikies soon. Its such a beautiful backdrop for kiting.
Was good to catch up with you on Saturday, Hear you've ordered yourself a 666. You wont regret it, they are the mutts!
Are you up this weekend, see you there if you are

After some debate in the Dovey Hotel....erm....cant remember.
Think that the general concensus was that we'd sooner be playing than watching, so I for one will definately be where the beach is
empty and the wind is blowin.
at the moment it looks like black rock should be a goer for the weekend. southerly. may drive up for an away day.

i think that as long as you launch and if you can, land from the area where the jet skis launch,ie inbetween the bouys its up to you where you sail too when on the water.

Hi guys,
It was on the Flexifoil forums that I read that Black Rock was O.K. for kite surfing during the Summer months.
When the flexi-forums are back online, i'll copy and paste the post in here.
To be sure it's O.K. to fly, i would, before you travel over there, contact the local warden/coast guard. Might save you guys a wasted
trip. (and me getting it in neck the off Pikey Massiv (on tour)
Have fun.

O.K. Men!
This is the post from the flexi Forums where i got the info.
it was posted on 7th of this month, by a geeza called, Mark or Loxley.
"I was at Black Rock over the bank holiday weekend. There were a few people flying small kites. I asked the Warden what the
restrictions were and he stated no buggies or land boards. I asked about kite surfing and he phoned someone to check and said that I
had to launch at the western end through the buoy lines and stay on the far side of the buoy lines in the same area as the windsurfers.
I felt that was fair enough. The guy was quite helpful."
So, there you go!
