Hi im new to this sport and need advice please,,

Iv was given an Airush 10m flow of a mate to get me started and a board ,Iv booked in to have lessons ,
but as you do you like to have a go yourself ,
so i bought the begginers DVD to get me started ,
I went down to my local beach just to get the kite up and get used to the handling (iv been doing powerkiting For over a year so i know the basics),
i went down to the sea to do a bit of body dragging the tryed to get on the board ,
firstly the foot straps on the board! how tight do they have to be or slack ?
as i lay in the sea with my feet in the straps the waves pulled my board of my feet ,So i tightend them then i couldnt get them on once in the sea.
And secondly My mate has a Blade Beast 10m Flat kite Whats the differance between a flat kite and a bow?
The kite he has looks Wicked ,,
He says it easyr to use then the C kite and relaunches
better ..
But i dont know what to do now ,,Should i get a Blade Beast or stick to the Airush Flow ?
Can anyone help !!!!

Any suggestions

Stick to the flow and get a lesson a.s.a.p. Before something goes wrong. Flat kites are great, theyre wind ranges are bigger and they are safer, however get the right one, some arent as good as others. When you book in for a lesson, make sure the school has a range of kites, and that theyll let u try both so that you can see for your self.
