Saturday's looking good.

Sunday looks OK with a hangover. Maybe?

willf - 3-10-2005 at 12:50

was amazing weekend but shocked to see some new guy to the beach out on a 14m (i was on my 8m and powered) with no fricking kite leash! he thinks they're dangerous. bloody idiot. i pissed on his car door handles that'll teach him! oh and some monkeys who bought a foil of ebay 4m blade launched it in 30+knots (i'd told them not too) guy landed were kite took off from on his face let go of the kite but it was ok as i had predicted every move and was waiting in the dunes to catch it. gave them a lecture. and his mouth was pissing blood. so i pissed on them as well. awesome weekend though was great to see some skilled pole huggers out. and the kiters progressing so much!

justal - 3-10-2005 at 13:41

Nice one Will you tell 'em!!

Oh and does the 'Nice to see some skilled pole huggers out' imply that I have no skills!!

Al.

Graham - 3-10-2005 at 15:46

Hope you weren't pissing into the wind Willf!

willf - 3-10-2005 at 20:35

well Al don't take it like that! you know what i mean. pro's! mr White for example was impressive!
might have pissed into the wind at one point!
someones gotta take over while chris is away at beach guarding!

Fat Shady - 6-10-2005 at 20:03

Willf not sure if you are refering to me but I was out on a 14m Cabrinha kite at the weekend.

If you take a good look at them you will see that through there good design the leash is built in to the chicken loop. You pull your safety, the lines shoot off leaving the kite depowered but still attatched by the chicken loop which stays in place.

If you have a problem why dont you say some thing at the time. Not new to the Beach either, been windsurfing it for the last 12 years on and off.

paul b - 6-10-2005 at 20:25

Looking ok for sunday, with new board.
See if I can't lose this one!

Deathbag - 6-10-2005 at 20:40

As a new kitsurfer i take it i will not be made welcome by YOU..... look forward to meeting you and i'm sure you will be able to tell me what i'm doing wrong.....

I find it interesting that you find it so funny to find fault in someone who was having a good time!!!! were YOU?

Always good to to find someone who ownes up to criminal damage!!!!!

willf - 6-10-2005 at 21:01

come on man i was joking!!! i would never piss on any one or their property. it's good you had a good time but on the other hand if you drop that kite and the line wraps round someone or another kite or a child or a dog or someones car and does damage injury or death and gets the sport banned at borth then it is serious and i mean it. there is no excuse in 2005 to not ride with a leash it is negligent beginner or expert the info is out there. we had this arguement back in 2001 when there weren't even quick releases.

you are welcome at borth but you must be safe, no one on the beach is willing to lose the LUXURY of kiting at borth for one guy.

Fat Shady - 6-10-2005 at 21:12

Willf,

you seem to be missing the point, my kite has got a leash. I will show you how it works if you like

willf - 6-10-2005 at 21:15

hey? what? how many names do you use?

willf - 6-10-2005 at 21:16

sorry if you have a leash take it all back if ya have!!!

Fat Shady - 6-10-2005 at 21:18

One name "Fat Shady" and a drunken mate "Death Bag" who is protective and wound up on my behalf.

He is a newbie and thinks he will be unwelcome.

Deathbag - 6-10-2005 at 21:26

Not that Drunk .....

Not sure what the crack is ?

Let's sytop all newcomers getting into the sport and watch it diie..

I have watched many sports die because of bad vibes and don't wish to see this one go the same way ...!!!!

Pull together and prove that it is a safe sport ... and yes , safety is a good thing and push for it ... but pisssing into the wind only maks you feel good.. work together.......

willf - 6-10-2005 at 21:28

it wasn't you anyway man!! the point was i did speak to the guy. he was not on a cabrinha and he didn't have a leash i know how the safetys work!!! i know who you are!!! you were doing fine man and you weren't over powered i thought and i was not on my 8 at the time. you rode well!!! tell deathbag to calm down and come down to borth i'm in the wee van with flames on! newbies welcome as long as they are safe and if they aren't we always talk to them, and normally in a helpful way!

Spooker - 7-10-2005 at 05:27

Wow what a great thread - I'll be down over the weekend to hold the coats and kiss things better.

Except for Will who spends far too much time hanging around animals bottoms - words of comfort only I'm afraid!

Fat Shady - 7-10-2005 at 18:10

Big Hug

col123 - 7-10-2005 at 18:44

this threads going gay now...talking of graham

jon d hat - 9-10-2005 at 19:33

No handbags ere please, i'm sure Will was refering to d dude wid d litewave board with bindings, an it was my door handles he pissed on, only cos i nicked his whisky..!

When I was introduced to da masiff, I coldn't stay on my board for more than 10 seconds an wid a little bit of there help and advice, I can stay on my board...erm...well...till i hit d beach (see neils video clip) Thats not the point though, we ALL have access to an excellent kite beach and wish to continue to enjoy that access. It will only take one seriouse incident before we too could face bans or restrictions, which i'm sure no kiter will appreciate.

So lets keep the peace, keep the vibe and keep it SAFE

Fat Shady - 11-10-2005 at 20:35

Yes agree with the good vibe.

The funny thing is people keep preaching safety to me and

wait for it ........

I am a Health & Safety Officer

willf - 11-10-2005 at 21:19

get the red card out shut this beach down.
