high tides at Brannie: sat - 09.35, sun 10.20, so big walks in the afternoon!

justal - 7-9-2005 at 17:20

Wind looks pretty crap here for the weekend now!...Forecasts seem to suggest NE 4-6 knots on Saturday at the moment... Still, it can only get better than that as the forecasts change!!

Checked out various forcasts this morning, and (for what they're worth) about the only place that seems remotely promising is Lligwy.....

Yep, looks like I might FINALLY get around to painting the soffits... If it doesn't rain too much!

think its nowhere for this saturday looking at the forcast or lack of it! will be diy ,lucky us all!!!!!
fingers and everything else crossed for next weekend!!!!!!!

justal - 9-9-2005 at 16:50

I guess it is about time we did some DIY though, there seems to be plenty of it stacking up. I've been meaning to paint the soffits since we built the house but haven't got around to it and now that Morgan is just beginning to crawl it looks as though it is time to start baby-proofing the entire house which is another job for the weekend... Along with some gardening and a couple of 'proper' work jobs that I have scheduled.

I think we need a DIY forum here for helpful hints and tips!!

keep praying for next week Al!
dont like DIY at the best of times ,but when it is interferring with the kitesurfing then its bad!!!!!

justal - 9-9-2005 at 20:56

I'll do my best, although it isn't looking that great... I'm still half hoping for a sneaky NEly session in the estuary tomorrow... Hopefully the same as last weekend!!!

justal - 10-9-2005 at 07:29

Thats the spirit bucski... Have a few pints at the same time so theres no chance of you getting out and the wind might just materialise!

Just been out for a a quick hour nicely powered (15 knots) with the 15m kite and 125 board in the estuary. The wind soon dropped off again though... Who knows, it might come back again later.

Its fine here... Just been out for another kitesurf session along with Chris and a few others and then once the wind picked up went for a quick blast windsurfing as well.

chris - 10-9-2005 at 19:15

all turned out nice again. gota love this place.

justal - 11-9-2005 at 18:03

Yep, certainly did... Saturday was good in the estuary, a couple fo kitesurf sessions and a windsurf session and managed to do some gardening work and therefore earn some money in between whilst the wind eased off for a while.

Sunday was sunny and looked likely to be windless so I managed to get two coats of paint on the soffits and then all of a sudden a nice NW sea breeze filled in for a gorgeous well powered kitesurf session until it reached around 18 knots and I got too overpowered so went windsurfing instead. Unfortunately the wind did as quickly as it arrived so the windsurf didn't come to much.... Quite a productive weekend really, especially as there was no wind forecast.
