Appreciate that this is a "weekend at Borth" thread but...... anyone from the masiff (or any other posse) got any experience or Rhosneiger ?
Have got Friday off and with the current forecast thinking about a trip up there.
Have looked at the beach guide.etc, but other peoples experience always helps. Cheers

justal - 16-6-2005 at 06:16

As a comparison to Borth, Rhosneigr probably gets a tad more wind, the waves are generally a little bigger and much more spaced. Otherwise, it is busier, and there is limited car parking.

There isn't much wind forecast for either at the weekend though... so somewhere like Abersoch might be better... at least you have a choice of pubs and there will be plenty of 'people watching' going in the warm weather forecast for Saturday... Or have we now got back to the dogging thread!!!

Al.

Pual rather go to newborough just before rocks-neigr. in the village turn left at the cross roads and follow along through a £2 entrance barrier and down through the woods to the beach where you park up behing the dunes. much better, as the name rocks- neigr suggests!!!!

mNeil - 16-6-2005 at 11:20

decided going up to borth on friday evening with the hope that they have been underestimating the wind speed. anyway chance to meet up with peeps, have a beer and a chin wag and be at the sea side!

Encee - 16-6-2005 at 15:55

Thanks for the info.............. gonna drive up and stop at Tremadog (BRMC hut) tonight, get an early (ish) start & try Newborough Warren tomorrow.

Kitefish - 16-6-2005 at 22:21

Neil

Taking the van to work tomorrow, should be on the beach by five. Hopefully some of this wind may stick around. If not a few beers, a chin wag to put the world to rights and a bit of sun on Saturday sounds damn fine to me

See you there.

mNeil - 17-6-2005 at 07:37

setting off after work Chris probably about 330ish

Encee - 19-6-2005 at 09:02

'Self and Paul B tryed Newborough on Friday & what a place........
Frustrating session in the onshore wind but will definitely be going there again.
