It looks pretty good at the moment for the estuary.

But it is still a long way off.

i will be up sat around 12 ish weather permiting. made an attempt to find the lagoon at aberdyfi on sunday as weather was so bad, where is it in relation to the grave yard chaps

justal - 20-4-2005 at 06:06

It is pretty much right on the 'corner' of the beach at the southern end of cemetary beach.

Take a look at this link:
http://www.forces-of-nature.co.uk/forum/viewthread.php?tid=427 There is a satellite image in the thread that shows the sandbanks etc. within the estuary. The lagoon on the aberdyfi side is prtty much under the letter B, although it does shift around a bit and change in size.

I'm hoping to come up for a late sesh fri evening - looks SE but swinging more E, so estuary may be okay - anyone up for it?

col123 - 20-4-2005 at 08:31

if it holds i'll be up friday and saturday, neil i'll probably not be stopping over so you can jump in the van sat if you want

leonardo - 20-4-2005 at 11:28

dude - I'll be down in the estaury for sat, might even come up for a late sesh on friday night..

wind is looking better at brancaster, but who knows! Best to check things friday afternoon..

leonardo - 20-4-2005 at 12:06

anybody staying over sat night in the estaury?

mNeil - 20-4-2005 at 15:09

ah brancaster, now theres an idea!
did get fed up with the walk to the sea when the tide is out though, and also the lack of water depth, really need to check out the tide times!

andy B - 20-4-2005 at 16:43

ah i think i found it then al. tell me if this sounds simmular parked by grave yard ,across rd land drops down over railwaythrough dunes come to fork in path take right path on to beach or was i somewhere else ,not the lagoon.

col123 - 21-4-2005 at 08:21

brancaster tide is lowat 12.30 ish and have been told by local that if easterly its crap and gusty as it comes over land..

mNeil - 21-4-2005 at 11:17

i think that is hunstanton as Tim and myself had a great week on easterlys, comes straight in from the channel.
at hunstanton easterly come straight off the town and i should think that would be orrible!!!!
with low tide mid day sounds good as tide coming in whislt on the water.

col123 - 21-4-2005 at 13:44

made my mind up going to borth, friday and stopping for saturday (sorry neil), looks like the wind will be early on, see you there

steveo - 21-4-2005 at 14:06

chris - 22-4-2005 at 10:03

Pluto - 22-4-2005 at 18:21

Keep us posted Chris... Ta

shem - 22-4-2005 at 19:10

It kept on building up to about 30 knots, ( mark was out back loop kite looping on his 7 meter)!!! Even Col changed down to a mere 13 meter!!

Encee - 22-4-2005 at 19:49

As the weekend wind appears once more to be marginal, told the wife that I'd do her a "favour" & stay at home over the weekend and attempt to boost "huge and unhooked" with the lawn mower.

Also tried explaining that if the wind was good next weekend I'd have to go for 2 days 'coz I missed a day this week.

Was surprised to find that women don't appear to understand this sought of logic..................

chris - 22-4-2005 at 19:49

wind seemed to drop and the rain came now its back. didn't get back out.

5th line MMMMMmmmm you wait till your kite rolls over in the waves and it cheese wires your kite. beware.

shem good surf tomorrow. L*********d???

back kiting sunday.

mNeil - 22-4-2005 at 22:56

Andy spooker and me in brancaster for the weekend

col123 - 23-4-2005 at 16:36

chris i agree on the fith line wave thingy but i downed the kite today and took a handfull of fifth line and off she popped..it certainly gives the kite greater windrange and seems to handle the gusts better...but then again it could be i'm getting better (about time)..

CharlieR - 23-4-2005 at 17:10

Does 5th Line bigger wind range mean that you will be giving up any kite smaller than a 17 now Col? I have to agree, the 5th line on the Rhino 05 gives much more range and also added security in knowing that you can take all power out the kite at the top of the window if it gets a bit too windy.

Finally printing dissertation, three exams after that and its kitesurfing all the way then! Can't wait.

willf - 25-4-2005 at 07:57

all those to went to brancaster! OH DEAR!!! you missed two awesome days of 25-30mph clean wind in the estuary!!! All were boosting big new moves landed all round.
