Putting foil kite away
badexcuseforasailor - 29-3-2005 at 15:00

Got a question,
Whats the best way to put a foil kite away regarding the lines?
Leave everything conected
Or remove the lines at the kite end?

In the past ive been taking the lines off at the kite end but had trouble with the bridle lines on the kite tangling

i always leave my lines connected, unless i'm using them for another kite. it's not necessary to take them off and also it can be a lot of hassle and add time to your setup.

Yep...leave en connected. Stake the handles down, pack the kite into its bag then wind the lines up onto a winder in a figure-of-eight pattern so that they don't twist around each other... Should be nice and easy to get out and flying next time you use it then.

Or just wrap them round the handles nice n tight. Stage 2 handles allow you to wrap them in a figure 8, which is even quicker.
