Anyone know of any seasonal restrictions on kitesurfing at Oxwich bay on the Gower penninsula ? Looking at the southerly wind on Friday wondered if it could be an option.

i was there this easter weekend..looks awesome, shame there was'nt any wind :-(..i heard that it's a private beach..there is a small sailing club on site, popular with jetski's. but did'nt see anything that looked anti-kite.

Nice picture.........

Sent and email to Gower Watersports and had a reply to say that there are no restrictions for kitsurfing though it can get busy on the nicer days with both water and beach users.

i've kited there loads of times there is a local scene of about 3 guys who are decent chaps and the guy on the wakeboard is pretty good watch the wind on the carpark end if it's coming over the point at all get some really nice waves further round boost huge off them probably not a summer spot as traffic and tourists everywhere worse than cornwall. damn fine spot though.
