I got my board back!!!!!

Thanks to the Forces of Nature website and all the help that local kiters have given, I got in touch with the guy who found my board which spent three days at sea after it was taken out on the tide in Aberdovey two weeks ago. I am delighted to see it again.

I would especially like to thank Justal (F-O-N) for his online efforts here, Sam from F.one for his posts and phone number decoding, Shem for organising a beach search, Rob for helping me look in the RIB the first time round, and of course Mike, whose daughter found the board, for having the honesty to come forward and make a real effort to find the owner of the board rather than sticking it on E-bay.

Cheers Guys..........

Cool glad you got it back, thought someone would know about it on here when I saw it on the flexi forum and posted here, didn't see your post in the general forum....

How long was it between losing it at Aberdyfi and being washed up and found in Aber?

Was there any damage to it or has it been a bit flat to get bashed up?

Strange I thought the currents more more likely take it North?

It spent 3 days at sea during its adventure, lost on Friday, found on Monday at Ynyslas which is only about a mile from where I lost it. We searched for ages in a RIB at the time, but to no avail.

I lost it on the ebb which goes south when it leaves the estuary, but I guess it came back up on the flood and so on. It has not been damaged in anyway, so I'm pretty lucky really.

Cheers

col had a similar thing when he lost a board, it travelled a fair way and an old lady took it to turbulence ( shop in llandudno) where they recognised it as col's board. How lucky is that!
