Is it necessary to take out 3rd party insurance for kite flying ?
What's the general concensus and if the answer is 'Yes' then are there any specialist companies that will provide cover.
Cheers
Depends where you intend to fly, many places or councils insist that you have third party cover, and for the little cost I think it is
a good idea anyway.
Do you buggy, board or kitesurf?
A couple of choices, the British Buggy Club offer insurance:

BKSA (British Kite surfing association):

Or Sportscover direct provide multisport insurance which is good if you do a number of other sports:

Level 2 will cover most kiting activities I think. I think 3rd party liability here is only £2 million whereas BBC and BKSA are
£5 million?
Richard,
I use sports cover direct, it covers me for all my sports It also pays me about 100 quid a week if I hurt myself and can't work. Mind
you I've never had to claim ,so I don't know what they're like paying out.
Cheers Chaps.
I'll get some quotes.
