Friday 15th November - walks *** – Ipswich waterfront and around Felixstowe – Cloudy and chilly, clearing late afternoon.

My Dad was cremated at 8 this morning with no service, we are having a celebration of his life next week on what would have been his 95th Birthday but we couldn’t let him go to the crematorium by himself so Mag and I meet up with my sister and her daughter in the car park at 7.45 to see him off, then had the most wonderful reminisce with a cuppa and a pasty, it was pretty much perfect, the gloomy day and Autumn leaves just added the the occasion:)
Then after saying our goodbyes we headed over to Ipswich waterfont for a quick walk in the cold to take a few weather pics before returning to Felixstowe the scenic route past Levington to pick Maeva up for the day:) She is just full of life at the moment, so bright and loves her books and follows Granny about like her shadow, just lovely to see although it does where Mag out! Then after lunch we headed down to Felixstowe seafront, around the pier, along the prom to the Spa theatre and it was a tad on the nippy side and getting much colder next week too! In the end Maeva did decide to keep her hat on, she loved charging about in Argos, we then said hello to Russell Smiths Santa who is now 46 years old apparentely:) Then home for snacks before I headed down to Felixstowe Ferry at 4 to catch the sunset and was not disappointed with the tide very low, next to no wind, a pink glow in the sky and the most amazing full moon, just brilliant. Back home to take Maeva back to her Mum before relaxing at home, tomorrow might be windy enough for a windsurf foil, haven’t been on the water since 24th October and would like to get out before the cold spell!
