13th November 2024 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Mainly cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Wednesday 13th November - walks *** – Sunrise Felixstowe Prom – A little sun but mainly cloudy then top sunset. As were visiting friends both in the morning and afternoon the only chance we had of a walk was to head out early for a sunrise stroll along Felixstowe prom. It didn’t look promising as we ambled along the quiet prom with a bank of cloud out to sea on the horizon but we got a glimpse of red when we neared Jacobs Ladder at 7.10 with the sun breaking above the cloud at 7.30 so it turned out OK in the end:) I had time to do my exercises before going next door to our lovely neighbours for a lovely catch up chat with homemade cake. Home for a quick lunch and around to old friend Mary for more cake:) We left just after 4 to get something from the town and were treated to a lovely sunset as the cloud cleared, sadly I had left my camera at home, cant win them all!
