Friday 11th October - walk ***** – Around Felixstowe – Sunny and mild.

After yesterday full on day including a very late night taking pics of the Northern lights today was much calmer, sunny and mild too:) Exercises followed by breakfast before I made a picnic, more yummy egg sandwiches and we drove down to The Dip in Felixstowe for a walk to the Ferry. Arriving at 1.15 in brilliant weather, blue sky with a few Simpsons clouds with a light offshore breeze. We headed down to the prom and with the tide low we spotted people out on the new shingle spit down by kite beach so headed out there and boy it has changed out there, just wonderful as the waves broke over the shingle with stunning views all around:) The tide was coming in so we moved off the spit and explored the new shingle banks as we made our way to our picnic spot by thr rocks just outsie Felixstowe Ferry. We enjoyed another top picnic as we watched a couple of yachts motor up the Deben before taking the path back to the van, what a top afternoon! Nice evening at home as we watched the last of a top drama, Showtrial, some top actors too. With the sky clear I did head out briefly to see if the Northern Lights were showing, sadly not!
