Monday 7th October - walk *** – Holywells Park circuit including a picnic – sunny periods.

After yesterdays lovely Birthday which included a fantastic sunrise, top windsurf foil at Levington and some great family time including speaking to both the Grandchildren and with my Dad in hospital we thought we should head into Ipswich to visit. I still managed my exercises in the sunshine before packing a picnic and driving to Holywells Park for a walk and picnic by the lake. The park was lovely as usual with loads of squirrels hiding nuts. There are still several plants in bloom by the stable and conservatory:) We had a pleasant lunch by the lake despite the fact it is still covered in duck weed, we shared our picnic with a few ducks, two young magpies, a moorhen and a gull, shame we left the bird food in the van! It was then time to head back to the van, we even took a wrong turn and got a little lost on the way to the hospital! It was then a nightmare to find a parking spot and rode round for ages, two must be a popular time! We then had to walk miles across the hospital to find my Dad who was fast asleep when we arrived and on a drip, he does look poorly but he woke up and we had a nice hour and he was full of chat, fingers crossed they can get him home quickly!
