Saturday 8th June - bike *** – Two rivers, Orwell to the Deben – cloudy start then sunny periods.

I had one eye on the wind as it looked promising for a foil at Levington but the wind did not pick up until the afternoon, much too late for me to be bothered especially after yesterday 34 miles sailed at The Manor with tomorrow looking like it might be OK? The early sun quickly disappeared with even a few spots of rain but still managed my exercises outside with Mag her usual non-stop in the garden which is looking lovely:) With Mag knackered no walk today, just a few things to do around the town which we did in the van, then with the sun out again I decided to have an hour on the bike as I hadn’t used it for a month! I did my two rivers route down through Langer Park to the Dock view point where I took some pics near the Landguard musium where I spotted the Harwich foot ferry leaving. Back across Landguard Nature Reserve with a small navy type boat off the Orwell and round to the prom, stopping at the ferris wheel for a couple of pics and back onto the busy prom to the Fludyers and around to the quieter Dip end leading to Felixstowe Ferry where I was in time to see the local fish monger throw his scrapes into the Deben, I have never seen so manny noisy gulls! I then whizzed back across the golf course and stopped by the Co – op to watch some enthusiastic Morris Dancers and jolly good they were too and home for a piece of homemade cake with a well deserved cuppa:)
