Sunday 1st August - walk *** - Two rivers – Landguard circuit – after a sunny start it clouded over with light showers:(

The day started off so well, nice sunshine so did my exercises in the back garden with Mag pruning and then it clouded over with some very light showers. We were going over to Falkenham Church again for lunch with another walk down to the Deben but with the weather grotty we decided against it. So instead, we drove down to The Manor, loads of free parking by the caravans perhaps due to the poor weather and did our Landguard Nature Reserve Circuit:) Loads of lovely yellow flowers a cross between a daisy and a dandelion with the teasels with loads of butterflies on the blackberry flowers:) You get a good view of Felixstowe docks on this walk with loads of Evergreen containers, perhaps awaiting the arrival of the huge Evergiven container ship, well known for blocking the Suez Canal! Around to the dock view point and there are not many ships in port today. Along the beach to the recently refurbished wooden jetty and back through the reserve with several birds including a large flock of starlings. A good East wind had picked up and I was tempted to go foiling but after a visit to The Dip on the way home decided to give it a miss, there was no wind forecast but it came at 2.50 and stopped at 5 so you had to be in the right place at the right time! Came home for a cuppa and cake and watch the top action in the Olympic Freestyle BMX , the UK riders were brilliant too :) No wind forecast until the end of the week so time to get out on the bikes again!
