After yesterdays cloudy windy day we had wall to wall sunshine today with lighter winds so was going to give windsurfing a miss today as the wind returns on Friday for a few days:) Nice morning at home doing exercises, Michael Galbraith was at Levington was was not tempted with winds much lighter and then I checked the Felixstowe webcam and Mark Swain was at The Dip so I decided to check out even though the sea did look a horrible lumpy mess! Swainy was rigging 8m so I took a chance with 7.8 on the 133lt. It was always going to be the wrong time to sail with marginal winds with the tide going out:( It was a little dumpy but I got off OK and headed out though the rough water by the River Deben but the wind went light and I fluffed the gybe and fell. I lost a little downwind and ended up down by kite beach. With the wind light now, I struggled out through the really rough water and was knocked in a couple of times by big waves. I slowly beat out to sea turned and made it back to The Dip with the wind all but disappeared! Had a chat with Mark before packing up and heading home, a bit of a waste of time, lets hope tomorrow is better and fancy a trip to Point Clear.

PS. just checked the forecast and it's looking a bit hit and miss for the next few days so will have to see???
