Friday 2nd November – bike **** – Two Rivers, Felixstowe – sunny but chilly.

With the new month starting rainy yesterday we had wall to wall sunshine today, much to good not to get out and about! After we did our exercises we had the choice of bike or walk? Bikes one and we headed off just before midday, my first outing with my new camera (Fujifilm X-T1) it’s a bit taunting but I am slowly working out what the dials do! We decided to do the Two Rivers ride but the other way around so headed to The Grove first. After yesterday rain it was a little soggy but not too bad. Out on Gulpher Road to the golf club and onto Felixstowe Ferry. We so learned we were a little underdress as although sunny it was a bit on the chilly side! The tide was low on the Deben and it looked a picture with the sun glistening on the water:) Then back along the coast path to The Dip, there were several people out and about enjoying the crisp sunny day. We were soon back on the prom at The Fludgers continuing along the prom again fairly busy. Mag turns up Bent Hill and home while I continued to Landguard Nature Reserve finishing off by the Orwell at the viewing point. At the peir there was a man swimming in just his trunks, a braver man than me !!! There were loads of starlings feasting on scraps left out by people in the car park:) Then home along the road, stopping off at Wilco’s to book my bike in as the disc brakes have gone all soft. I have cleaned the discs and bleed the hydraulic fluid with no success. So a nice 2hr. 15 min. ride covering 13 miles with a top speed of 17.33. Hope to get out windsurfing at the weekend, just got to make up my mind where ????
