22nd September 2003
Windsurfing: Weston S&M
Wind Direction: NW
Wind Stength: Variable
Surf / Sea State: Choppy
Air Temperature: ok
Sea Temperature: ok
Weather: changable
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Arrived early at about 12.30 the wind was South Westerly and steady at about 1.30 the wind swung round to North westerly and picked up a few knots.
There were three of use on the beach with expectant grins, the concensus was that the wind would continue to build and 5M was the right sail. The first two guys took the long walk to the sea as I rigged up, as soon as they got their feet wet the wind droped, by the time I walked out it was gone, splashed around for half an hour before going back in to rig up a 6.5M.

When I got back on the water the wind had picked up again and 6.5 seem right, I found the sea condition challanging on the starboard tack, found it very difficult to drive the nose off the wind and get on the plane when I did get going the ramps were coming thick and fast, hard to keep the board on the water and to avoid spinning out on landing, port tack was fine as that was with the swell, I was a bit puzzeled as this is a new problem.

score for the day 2 stars for starboard and 4 stars for port
