When I arrived at Dinas Dinlle at 9am there was a perfect wind for my 4.5m and big board, but I thought I'd wait for Steve who was due to meet me there at 10am. By the time he arrived the rain was pouring down and it was now windy enough for my 4m and little board - Actually, after looking at the conditions for a bit we decided it was too much even for our smaller kit so we headed around to Foryd Bay for some shelter

I rigged my 4m as flat as possible and my small board and struggled across the road and gave it a go. I managed to sail across the bay and back, but it wasn't pretty. Full on survival conditions in 50 knots of wind and mad chop. Not a lot of fun so I sat on the beach and watched Steve try to get his kit to the water.

After several unsuccessful attempts to cross the road where he got blown back to the cars fighting his kit like it was a rabid dog he eventually made it to the beach. We both then had one run across the bay and back before deciding it was far too windy. So we struggled back to the cars and indulged in some extreme de-rigging instead!
