27th August 2007 Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe Wind Direction: NW then NE Wind Stength: 8/10 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 20 Sea Temperature: 18 Weather: sunny Max Speed: 15.9 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 27.1 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) After watching the windsurf racing by the pier Rob and I set off from the Dip in an offshore wind and sailed up the coast to Shingle Street.The wind was quite light but was okay in the river mouths and was an interesting sail as I have never sailed that far north before.On returning to the dip after 3 hours sailing the wind turned NE and picked up a little so I had another hour playing in the river at the Ferry. |
