Wednesday 1st May - bike *** – Two river, the Orwell to the Deben – sunny and warm.

After four really hectic days away inn Surrey visiting family walking many miles, far more than usual Mag and I were knackered, my poor old knees took a particular battering so being a sunny, warm and still day it was ideal to take things a bit easier, well that was the plan:) So after a relaxing lay-in I could do my exercises I the sunny back garden, Mag was not her usual happy self as the snails/slugs had a real go at several of her young plants while we were away! Then as we had t do a big shop at Lidl as we had nothing in the house it gave me time to have a spin on the bike. I did my usual two rivers route heading down through Langer Park to Felixstowe dock view as the yellow Harwich foot ferry was heading back as I snapped a few pics to send to the local TV weather. Then back across Landguard nature Reserve covered in daises and round the the prom at The Manor end with the light onshore breezes making the sea very flat. Continuing to The Fludyers and around to The Dip finishing up at Felixstowe Ferry where I had my snack on the seat by the jetty, I even got a wave from the Harbour master as he set off upriver:) I then whizzed home with a tail wind, just love my electric front wheel:) Then we filled a trolley at Lidl before crashing out on the settee listening to Tayler Swifts new stuff:)
