Mood: Chuffed!
1st June 2005
Windsurfing: Golf Course Car park, Ynyslas
Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength: 18-25 knots
Surf / Sea State: 1-2 foot messy surf
Air Temperature: 13ºC
Sea Temperature: 12ºC
Weather: Grey and damp
Max Speed: 26.0 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 34.2 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

After kitesurfing for a while the wind filled in so I went windsurfing. Rigged the 5.7m and Sputnik to start with but after a couple of runs it was obvious that things were a little too lively for this combination, although I did get some big jumps and a top speed of 26 knots in amongst the waves!
I put on loads more downhaul and outhal and went out on my Smaller, more controlable board for an hour. Maxed out the whole time with some reallyt nice big jumps and some mad lay down gybes on the face of the big swells out the back. The wind filled in even more so I rigged my 5m and went out with that, then it settled down at around 22 knots so I changed back to the 5.7m for the last hour.
Perfect blasting conditions with some fairly big swells out the back.
