Can't remeber when this was, think I've got about the right date....

Went out on the 6.5, should have stayed in the van for another 15mins, the wind picked up rapidly from 6.5 to 4.0 weather! however, having been blown all over the place I thought I would just drop to the 5.75, 2 runs then went to the 5.0, flat as I could. Hugely overpowered - it was gusting 40+knts, I was slowly beaten to a pulp - cut my head, almost ripped off a toe nail, feels like a broken bone in my foot and then damaged an ankle waterstarting! It was time to go to the pub....... Hoping to fair a bit better next time I sail - really looking forward to the next 6.5m day on flat water to find out how fast my Stoke is.
