WILD, WILD, WILD!!! The wind didn't drop below 40knots and was gusting up
to and beyond 60 knots!! I had quite a struggle rigging up and went with my
tiny 3.4m sail and wave board. Once on the water I was overpowered pretty
much the whole time and had some pretty spectacular crashes! I did make a
few gybes here and then and landed a few chop hops but the general scenario
whilst I was out there was water start while already in the footstraps, go
for it, get lifted off the water, bail out then turn around and do the same
in the opposite direction! A few runs were a little more controlled but
most of the time it was pure survival conditions.
Great fun!
