Arrived to find noone else out which put me of a bit but conditions looked perfect. I had been overpowered the past 2 sessions so i didnt want a repeat performance. It was between the 4.7 and the 5.3 and I chose the latter which worked out perfectly. Was well powered up throughout apart from the wind dying at the end leavin me to sink a 100 metres out with a rapid receeding tide. Just enough wind to let me scramble back in much to my releif.
Was a good session with some nice waves forming only jumpable on starboard tack resulting in some huge jumps and some good bails :) Was lovin it pissin around amongst the waves in the shipping channel and spent most of my time carrying out little jumps but kept spinning out on landing. Not sure why I kept spinning out, think I should bear away downwind when landing.
Had a bit of a hairy moment half way through the session when a large container ship was on its way out to sea and I was right in its path. I wiped out a few hundred metres or so on a jump right in front of it. It was then a panick to get the sail spun round and to waterstart away but the panick led to me get catapulted straight away. I could see the ship was changing its course slightly to avoid me so I took the nearest route to sail away from it. A good session despite bein the only soul around
