Air Temperature: 11ºC
Sea Temperature: 16ºC

Distance Covered:

Started off rigging my JP and 5m, but decided that the wind looked a bit iffy, so went out on the Mistral heat instead. Nicely powered up, but not maxed out for a change, so after the last few days everything felt fairly calm and relaxed. There was still about a 3 foot (head high faces) messy swell, and out the back there was still the occasional monster waiting to get you. Nothing too mad today though which meant I had a really nice mellow sail just blasting out through the shorebreak, a few jumps off the swells out the back and then ride the waves back in.

Wind eased off a little more and I contemplated rigging the 5.7m, but decided to save my energy for tomorrow. Not long after I packed up, the wind filled back in to proper small kit strengths. Usually I'd be annoyed at being out when the while the wind was at its lightest, but it was actually nice to not be overpowered and getting pummelled by the waves.
