When we got to the beach it was very crowded. This was due to the German
kite surfing championship held here during that weekend. But by the time we
arrived only the award giving took place. At this time it was still
overcast sky and I was a bit reluctant to have a go.
After rigging up the sky cleared and the wind was perfect for my 5,7m sail.
There were even a few nice waves and I managed a few good jumps. Some
rather longish and flat, one or two quite high. To my delight I came out of
most of the gybes still planing during this session.
This day there were still quite a few kiters around. I had to take a swim
twice before I would have collided with their lines or in the other case
with a ditching kite.
After the session it felt good not be cold when getting out of the wet suit
as it was still a summer day.
