14th March 2022 Wing Boarding: Llanfairfechan Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F6 gust F7 Surf / Sea State: Chop Air Temperature: 9 Sea Temperature: 6.9 Weather: Light Sun Max Speed: Distance Covered: Looked flat and comfortable 4m but wind soon picked up and blew us all of the water. I learned which handles to use in stronger winds and also keep speed low as cannot control lift otherwise, maybe smaller foil would help. Tried a few gybes which went better than expected in strong winds and concentrated on weight distribution as left go off wing. Better but still not near a gybe. |
