Saturday 18th January - walk **** - Felixstowe seafront Ė sunny.

It was too nice a day not to do anything so Mag and I decided to have a walk along the Felixstowe breach in search of Amber. It was stunning as we headed down the hill to the prom with not a cloud in the sky with the sun twinkling on the water:) The only downside was it was very busy with people making the most of the winter sunshine. After a quick spin around the pier we decided to walk along the prom to the end and then walk back on the beach with the sun behind us giving us a better chance to spot the orange amber. Sadly again we didnít find any amber but managed to collect 3k of coal for our fire and some nice pieces of driftwood:) On reaching the prom near Bent Hill I discovered that I had lost my best Quicksilver glasses out of my pocket, I was actually taking them to Specsavers to have them adjusted! We then had to retrace our steps a mile back along the beach and I was lucky enough to find them, got lucky there! The 4 mile walk with half on the beach took its toll on both our legs and messed up our joints, thatís getting old for you! With the good weather continuing tomorrow we hope to get out on our bikes then!
