Windsurfing: Felixstowe Dip Wind Direction: SE Wind Stength: 13/20 Surf / Sea State: rough Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: warm Weather: sunny Max Speed: 7.3 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 200 metres (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
I asked a barmaid "when's the baby due", thinking she was pregnant...she
said I ain't pregnant dic!! aarrggghhh! Since then I have had loads of bad
luck, so I reckon she put obeah pon me..
The dip was rough when I arrived midday ish, loads out on 6m kit saying it
was great and tide was still high. Didn't fancy the conditions at all, too
rough. Thought I would sit it out till lower tide and smoother water. After
an hour or so, the dumpers had gone and thought I had at last made the
right call. All the sailors were wobbling back on their small kit so rigged
7.3 / 130 looked spot on. By the time I got to the beach the wind had
dropped to 8.5 kit. For f sake! rigged 8.5 with others and yep the wind
died to nothing! Cant be, so I hung around till low tide still nothing and
everyone had now pissed off with big smiles on their faces. Wet the board
after being goaded by Swainey, who arrived late and no chance of sailing.
Did a 200m wobble out and in which Swainey found funny! " kit rigged and no
sail, that's bad.... over heated in a 3/2 O'Neil with sleeves, so had to
change suit as well....
