Yeeeha! A perfect session and I once again feel like a windsurfer at last. It's been a while since we've had any wind like that so I just kept on going, covering over 40 miles in the end!

I went out with my little 70 ltr JP wave board and a 5m sail and was perfectly powered up the whole time. The sail felt just right and was perfectly rigged, and it was a joy to be out on the small board. Right from the off I was launching into big jumps with complete control in the air so was feeling good. Gybes were good too and I was having a whale of a time out there.

Mike AndyB and another kite-surfer who I didn't see close up (I don't know everyone's kites anymore) were out for a whole but they got off the water when the rains came. After that I had the place to myself which was a little miserable in the pouring rain but kind of nice too.

I even had a fairly credible back-loop attempt at one point when a steep wave reared up in front of me. Talking of which, the waves were goo, nothing too intimidating just perfect ramps on every run and for a while when the wind seemed to swing more southerly I had some good front-side wave rides on some of the bigger swells.

It doesn't get better than that.
