With strong winds today we had a relaxing morning in the apartment :) reading good books and I bought the only English newspaper in town!!! good news that Simon Cowell was beaten to the Christmas number 1 by Rage Against the Machine :) a bit sad for poor Joe but can’t win’um all !!!!
After lunch Rob, Dan and I decide to brave the conditions leaving a bit under the weather Mag at the apartment :( The lady at the pass office warned us of the strong winds and that several lifts were shut but as the lower Petit Bois lift was open today we decided to give it a go!!! We made the mistake of going up the Eucherts Express first and the conditions at the top were bad with the strong winds blowing the snow making visibility bad :( We made it back down to Eucherts then skied on the Marmotte Piste or the Mar Cassin off piste black !!! The off piste was fun with the wind blowing the snow – one minute you were on hard ice then the next in three feet of power !!! I did lose my ski for 15 minutes and was lucky to find it!!! Not helped by the 10 French skiers skiing by us when we were on our hands and knees looking for it!!! My ski bindings are very lose and one came off while just skiing the piste which doesn’t make for a relaxing day!!! I will get them tightened tomorrow. Let’s hope the weather improves tomorrow!!!
