Just a quick surf session at Ynyslas. Should really have gone to Borth as
it would have been smaller and a little more manageable there.
As it was I had a huge paddle out the back as it was much bigger than it
looked from the beach. Thankfully I've been swimming quite a bit so was
able to get right out the back without too much difficulty, but it did take
a while. I was now quite a way offshore with a board that was far too small
for the waves.
I caught one or two and had one really nice ride, but a longer, faster
board would have been more suitable so I headed back in a little and played
around on the waves reforming over a sandbank on the inside.
Good to know that I can still do it, although I kept hitting my foot on the
swallow-tail cutout of my board as I popped to my feet.
