kiter new in london + carpooling
Hi everyone
I just moved to london from belgium were i used to kitesurf in ostend. I am looking for the closest good beaches to kitesurf. I know
essex and kent are the closest but were do u go? Other then that has anyone got some good sites with live wind updates and a webcam of
the coast?
Also I have a ride and thought it would be a good idea to find people in london who are interested in carpooling to the coast. It could
make the drive more interesting and save on petrol. Drop me a hint.

Hi mate, I just moved to London from belgium too (former favorite spots nieuwpoort and renesse :bigsmile3d and I find car pooling is a great idea. We could go to west wittering (see
web site: www.2xs.co.uk), it seems to be good. If we don't use a car, we can travel by train (victoria to whitstable kent, 17 pounds
and 1h20 or victoria to brighton and shoreham by sea). of course we have to check the weather and wind direction to choose the correct
one. If someone esle knows good spots with easy acces from london, let's we know. Maybe we could go this week-end if you are ok (and
the weather)
see you, cheers

I come from Gembloux (not really a great kite spot !) but yes, you're right , I didn't notice that previously but we would have to pay
to ride in the west wittering beach (it seems to be possible to pay just for one day, 12.5 pounds: see the web site boardseeker.com,
beachseeker, west wittering). but we could try east wittering's beach which seems to be free (depending on wind direction if there
is!). if someone knows about this spot let's we know.
