24th August 2010 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: 30-40 knots Surf / Sea State: 4 foot rough surf Air Temperature: 16ºC Sea Temperature: 16ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: 26.42 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 15.43 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) The sort of session we wait for and probably the best of the year with warm waters, wrm air temperatures and plenty of wind and waves. I went out with my 4.5m and JP Wave at first which was fine but just a little too much out the back so I changed down to my 4.0m. I was still stacked the whole time with that but I had a little more control. Some nice blasting around not too far from shore and the odd trip out the back where it was pretty rough and the waves were much bigger. Did some massive jumps, especially out the back where the ramps just invited you to launch off them at full speed. You can't ask for more than being maxed out on your little kit. 5 stars! |
